Following are several options we offer. We are also open to creating custom Beer, Brewing & Fermentation events to suit your needs. All classes are taught by seasoned homebrewer Dailey Crafton. 

BEER & BREWING 101
​

This class covers the basic beer brewing process through live demonstration and conducts a tasting and discussion of the makeup and flavor profiles of 6 popular beer styles. His compact, mobile brew setup makes it easy for him to travel to various locations across Westchester and New York City.

BEER STYLES 101
​BASIC STYLES

We will discuss six styles of beer and, through a tasting and discussion, teach about what makes each style what it is. We'll also bring samples of the raw ingredients that go into each style so that attendees will get a sense of what goes into each beer.

BEER STYLES 201
​SINGLE STYLE DEEP DIVE
​

We will discuss six different versions of the same style. For example, within the Porter/Stout category you have Common Porter, Dry Irish Stout, Milk Stout, Oatmeal Stout, Imperial Stout, Tropical Stout, and several others. This would be the same format as Beer Styles 101 but focused on a specific style.

DEAD SIMPLE
​HOME FERMENTS

Some ferments are super-easy and fun to execute at home. We offer an event based around three of these ferments: hard cider, kombucha, and fermented veggies (like pickles, sauerkraut, etc). We will go into the details of how the microbial cultures are transforming the food with each ferment. Includes 5 gallons of Levenaut beer for the group’s enjoyment during the event.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

​​Dailey Crafton has been homebrewing beer for 5 years and tasting beer for even longer. Well-versed in all steps of the homebrewing process, Dailey’s speciality is ambient/foraged yeast collection for brewing (which we'll be touching on during the class).
